Australia Part II: Sydney

If we're talking about big cities, then you've gotta include Sydney on the list. I spent most of my time in Newcastle, but when I had the chance, I would check out the other parts of Australia. On my weekend trips to Sydney, I took a visit to Darling Harbour, the Circular Quay, and Sydney Harbour, all of which are must-visits if you're ever in Sydney! Check out Manly, which is just a ferry ride away from Sydney Harbour as well!

Coming from a city like New York, I imagined Sydney would easily become one of my favorite cities, but I was wrong. It did not make me nostalgic of home. I definitely felt like I was in a city, but a city catered for tourists. I did not feel like I was in Australia while I was there; it was just some random city.

Definitely pay a visit to Sydney; it is one of Australia's most iconic cities, but not my favorite for sure.

Spring Lovin' Photoshoot ft. Central Park

Played around with our new cam ;) First official photoshoot for the SavageDuos. Mandy's more of a model whereas Sandy prefers to be behind cameras so expect to see LOTS of Mandy!
It was a beautiful day for a walk, not just any walk, but a 10 mile walk around the beautiful Central Park. If you are ever in the area and have some free time, go wander and you will find it to be an adventure with lots of rewarding scenic views.

We hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as we did shooting it! Leave us a comment and let us know if you would like to see more.

Australia Part I: Newcastle

The beauty of Newcastle was breathtaking. I originally came here for a semester abroad to study at the University of Newcastle for my spring semester of junior year. It had always been a dream to visit Australia as it probably is for the most of us. I mean it is on the other side of the world for those of us  in the states. I had only seen the images of this beautiful country through the sources of Google so when I set my eyes on this view, I had to pinch myself a few times. It was only then that I knew this was real. It was THE REAL DEAL.

Generally, when one thinks of Australia, Sydney is the first thing that comes to mind, but honestly coming from a city, I am so happy I chose Newcastle. It's definitely hard to study with beaches being your backyard. Everyday is a different adventure; meeting new people everywhere you go.

Thailand: The Adventures of a First-Timer

My first time being a solo traveler was AMAZING I tell you! It was definitely nerve wrecking as i was boarding the plane and leaving everything that was familiar to me. Chiang Mai, Thailand was one of the most magnificent places I've ever been to. I was originally there for an internship, but it definitely seemed more like a vacation. Everyday was a new adventure. From roaming night markets and exploring the countless Buddhist temples to interacting with local animals such as tigers and ELLIES (elephants). I had the luxury of spending an entire month in Chiang Mai and the islands, but that still wasn't enough. Thailand left me with unforgettable memories and an urge to continue to travel.

Hong Kong: Victoria Peak

Hong Kong's skyline is one heck of a sight to see. Take the tram up to the peak mid-day in time to get a spot to see the night view before everyone crowds at the sky deck. Grab the ideal spot for the perfect view and watch as the beautiful sun diminishes into the horizon. Soak in the breathtaking scenery of the island of Hong Kong from this spot. We didn't get to stay until night to see the spectacular bright lights, but you guys get the point. We hope you guys find the chance to experience this for yourself. If you do, share your experiences with us!

Take yourself back in time through the tram that takes you up to the peak.
